215th In-person Congregation
House Rules
Graduands attending the ceremony are deemed to have accepted the house rules and are responsible for informing their guests.
- The Congregation is a formal ceremony. All participants should conduct themselves in a dignified and respectful manner, and must avoid any actions that may disrupt the proceedings.
- Smoking, eating, and drinking are prohibited inside the Hall.
- Dangerous items, balloons, and large luggage are strictly prohibited. Security personnel have the authority to inspect personal belongings and may deny entry to individuals who pose a safety risk.
- Children under the age of six are not permitted to enter the venue.
- Latecomers will be admitted only at designated times to minimise disruption.
- All mobile phones and electronic devices must be set to silent mode before entering the venue.
- All participants are expected to remain seated until the end of the ceremony as a sign of respect to fellow attendees and the event.
- Photography and videography are permitted only from your seat and must not involve the use of flash.
- Please be advised that photos and videos will be taken during the ceremony. By participating, you grant permission to the Faculty of Engineering to use these materials for promotional and publicity purposes. This includes, but is not limited to, use in printed materials, websites, social media channels, and third-party publications.
- Throwing objects or displaying banners, flags, or promotional materials is strictly prohibited.
- Shouting, demonstrations, petitions, or any form of protest that may interrupt the ceremony are not permitted.
- Any participant who violates these rules may be asked to leave the venue
