Dr Albert Lee from the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering and Dr Ryan Wong from the Department of Civil Engineering represented the Faculty of Engineering to participate in the 58th Joint School Science Exhibition, held at the Central Library from August 21–27, 2025.They presented Innovative research projects and impactful engineering at the exhibition, captivating attendees with cutting-edge developments.
Dr Albert Lee and his student team showcased an AI-assisted autonomous mobile robot designed to navigate complex environments with minimal human invention, as well as a patented multicoil wireless charging technology that enables quick, convenient, efficient and simultaneous charging of multiple electronic devices. Dr Ryan Wong showcased a robot with AI-powered computer vision to find cracks in artificial slopes and the technology of cleaning up 3D scans of seawalls and breakwaters.
Organized by the Joint School Science Exhibition Committee, the event served as a platform to promote scientific research, foster knowledge exchange, and spark public interest in science.
