A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between HKU and Tongcheng Travel in affirming both parties’ dedication towards supporting future leaders in the disciplines in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science and Internet On March 19, 2025. Tongcheng Travel Holdings Limited (Tongcheng Travel) pledged a donation to establish the “Tongcheng Travel Scholarship” for a period of three years starting from the academic year 2024-25.
The MoU was signed by Mr Lei FAN, Chief Financial Officer of Tongcheng Travel, and Professor Yi MA, Director of School of Computing of Data Science of HKU. Mr Heping MA, Chief Executive Officer of Tongcheng Travel, and Professor Pauline CHIU, Associate Vice-President (Teaching and Learning) of HKU witnessed the signing of the MoU.
