Professor Kaibin Huang of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering has been conferred the Philip K H Wong Wilson K L Wong Professorship in Electrical Engineering by The University of Hong Kong.

This endowed professorship is a recognition of Professor Huang's dedication and contributions to his field. Professor Huang’s pioneering research and patents have significantly contributed to the advancement of enabling technologies for the 4G, 5G and 6G mobile networks. His innovations in multi-antenna communications, wirelessly powered communication, mobile edge computing, and edge AI have been widely embraced by both academia and top ICT companies including Huawei, Apple, and LG Electronics.
