Ir Edmund Leung, a respected and professional engineer, former President of HKIE, Honorary University Fellow of HKU and a distinguished alumnus of the Faculty of Engineering, recently had a reunion with his classmates (who joined HKU in 1964) and their families, as well as former faculty members at his alma mater.
This group of friends, with a history of over 60 years, enjoyed a visit to Tam Wing Fan Innovation Wing, where they learned about the latest developments in the Faculty. They then toured some of the laboratories where they had spent countless hours as students, witnessing the changes in these memorable places over the years. While the laboratories remain in the same location, the technology, research and equipment have advanced significantly. The group was impressed and excited about the breakthroughs that the Faculty will achieve.
The reunion concluded with a warm welcome by the University’s DAAO and a delightful lunch at the Senior Common Room. Professor S.C. Wong, Associate Dean (Development and External Relation), received a souvenir from Ir Edmund Leung on behalf of the Faculty.
It was a unique and special way to celebrate enduring friendships that have lasted over 60 years! The Faculty is thrilled to welcome more alumni back to their intellectual home!
