The 212th Congregation of the Faculty of Engineering was held on July 24, 2024 at the Grand Hall, Lee Shau Kee Lecture Centre of the University of Hong Kong. The Congregation was held in three sessions for undergraduates, taught postgraduates and research postgraduates. The Faculty received over 800 graduates and 1,500 guests, all gathered to celebrate this momentous occasion.
We are delighted to have three Guests of Honour to address and enlighten our fresh graduates. They are Ir T.K. Chiang, Chief Executive Officer of CLP Holdings Limited, Ir Lam Sai-hung, Secretary for Transport and Logistics of The Government of the HKSAR and Ir Ricky Leung, Executive Director, Engineering & Technology of Airport Authority Hong Kong. Their inspiring sharing will certainly leave a lasting impression on our hearts.

Furthermore, this year’s Congregation also featured the Faculty’s first-ever female Marshalling Officer in history – Professor May Chui. She, along with two other esteemed faculty members - Professor SC Wong and Professor Benjamin Kao - served as Marshalling Officers at the Congregation and witnessed and shared in the joy and success of our graduates.
