Workshop on Frontiers of Image Science and Visual Computing 2024

The Workshop on Frontiers of Image Science and Visual Computing 2024 was successfully held on April 8, 2024 at Rayson Huang Lecture Theatre, HKU.

The workshop was organised by the Faculty and facilitated by Professor Evan Y. Peng of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering and the Computational Imaging and Mixed Representation Laboratory (WeLight Lab). The event featured a line-up of esteemed speakers from the fields of neuroscience, imaging science, and visual computing, including Professor Brian Wandell from Stanford University, the Keynote speaker of the William Mong Distinguished Lecture, Professor Xu Liu from Zhejiang University, Dr Joyce Farrell from Center for Image Systems Engineering of Stanford University, Professor Min Kim from Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, Professor Boxin Shi from Peking University, Professor Kede Ma from the City University of Hong Kong, and Professor Nicholas Fang from HKU.

The event brought together leading experts from around the world to present cutting-edge research and insights. It has had a significant impact, attracting widespread attention from various sectors including the investment and industrial communities.
