HKU Engineering continued to achieve impressive results in international ranking. Two subjects, Civil & Structural Engineering and Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, ranked among top 25th in the world in the 2024 QS World University Rankings by Subject. While Civil & Structural Engineering made a significant leap from the world’s 26th to 20th, we ranked 25th in the world for the new subject – Data Science and Artificial Intelligence. Such encouraging results showcased our departments’ and faculty’s unwavering dedication to teaching and research excellence.
2024 QS World University Rankings by Subject evaluates universities based on indicators including academic reputation, employer reputation, citations, H-index, and international research networks. The methodology and weightings are adjusted according to each discipline to ensure accurate assessments.
