Graduate turned their graduation projects to a start-up in iAxon

MSc EEE graduates Carol Chen, Daniel Zhang and Electrical Engineering (graduate) Louis Chan turned their graduation projects to a start-up in iAxon.

iAXON is a new initiative supported by Hong Kong Science and Technology Park and HKU to further strengthen the entrepreneurial eco-system in HKU; and to extend the HKSTP Incubation Programmes to Deep Technology Startup companies formed by students, faculty members, staff and alumni using technologies of HKU. https://versitech.hku.hk/startups/hkstp-hku-iaxon 

 

HKU RoboMaster Team Won 2nd Prize at RoboMaster 2020 Robotics Competition (Online)

HKU RoboMaster Team, HerKules, was awarded the Second Prize at the RoboMaster 2020 Robotics Competition (Online). Team "HerKules" is comprised of students from different Engineering disciplines (Computer Science, Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering) and Science, with Dr Kenneth KY Wong from the Department of Computer Science as their supervisor.

 

Computer Science Final Year Project Championed at Young Professionals Exhibition & Competition 2020

A final year project on train data analysis for Mass Transit Railway (MTR) by Eashan TREHAN, Aditya MEHTA and PANG Ming Kin beat 30 undergraduate teams and was crowned Champion at the Young Professionals Exhibition & Competition (YPEC) 2020 organized by the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET).

Dr. Xin Tang, a PhD graduate under the supervision of Prof. Liqiu Wang in Department of Mechanical Engineering, was selected as recipient of the Li Ka Shing Prize for the academic year of 2018-2019. He studied interfacial phenomena, particularly liquid/solid interaction and loss-free manipulation of liquids which merits abundant scientific and technological potentials. Li Ka Shing Prizes, which are awarded annually to up to six MPhil / PhD theses on the basis of academic excellence. The Prizes are in the form of a gold-plated medal plus a cash prize.
