The Faculty of Engineering has invited 3 outstanding alumni in academic, engineering and entrepreneurial fields to share their exceptional experience and talk about innovation and leadership.

Alumni background:
Dr Ada Poon
Associate Professor of Electrical Engineering at Stanford University
Ada received her B.Eng degree from the EEE department at the University of Hong Kong and her Ph.D. degree from the University of California at Berkeley. Upon graduation, she spent some time in industries, and worked at Intel and SiBeam. Then, she returned to academic. Now, she is a faculty at Stanford University. She is a Chan Zuckerberg Biohub senior investigator.
Mr David Lee
Co-founder and CEO of NEX Team
David received the BBA in Information System and BEng in Software Engineering. He is the co-founder and CEO of Silicon Valley start-up NEX Team. NEX Team developed AI-powered iPhone basketball app called HomeCourt which has been highlighted by Apple and backed by NBA luminaries like Jeremy Lin, Mark Cuban and Steve Nash. The app is now used by players and teams in 100 countries around the world, including NBA teams Boston Celtics, Philadelphia 76ers, etc.
Mr Lee Ka Leung
Project Director of BYTP (a sister company to Dragages HK Ltd)
KL is in the capacity of Project Director with BYTP since 2017 running large scale civil construction projects. He joined Dragages HK Ltd in 2000 as a scheme A graduate engineer. He progressed through senior engineer, construction manager to project management. He graduated from HKU Engineering (Civil and Structural Engineering) in 2000 and obtained a Master of Science, Civil Engineering in 2003.
