Robocoach, an AI motion video analysis project developed by a MSc student team of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, was awarded the Cyberport Creative Micro Fund (CCMF). A seed funding of HK$100,000 was awarded to the team for setting up a startup and prototype development.
The team comprised of Carol Chen, Zhang Baoheng, Oliver Xu Ao (all are MSc students) and Louis Chan (Electrical Engineering graduate) and was supervised by Dr Wilton Fok. The “Robocoach” used AI and deep learning to analyse the motion and posture of playing golf.
