HKU Engineering exhibited innovative projetcs in the STEM Education Fair in the Hong Kong Science and Technology Park organized by the Education Bureau on 22 and 23 January, 2016. The HKU Faculty of Engineering had exhibited a few projects including:
- a brief introduction of HKU’s humanoid robot, Atlas
- “Journey into the Virtual Art Gallery” Workshop, by the imseCAVE Virtual Reality System
- MakerLab, an initiative launched by the Department of Computer Science to introduce to students who are interested in prototyping
- demonstration of Robocon Team’s latest robots to visitors
- eTextbook
- Kids can Code
The Secretary of Education Hon Mr. Eddie Ng, the Founding President of the Academy of Sciences of Hong Kong, Prof. Lap-Chee Tsui, visited the HKU Engineering booth after the opening ceremony.
