On August 3rd, 2015, the General Office of the Faculty of Engineering returned to the 5th floor of Haking Wong Building (HWB) after it has been decanted to the Main Building for almost a year to make way for renovation. The new office not only renders proximity allowing easy access by students and staff who are users of HWB and Chow Yei Ching Building (CYC), but also provides sufficient meeting facilities for Faculty members to cope with the increasing duties and activities of the Faculty. All staff in the general office can now work in a more decent environment under one roof as compared to the serious space shortage condition before the renovation.
Meanwhile, Lecture Theatre A of CYC has reopened in the new semester of 2015. The fully refurbished lecture theatre provides a tranquil setting for classes, a nice venue for seminars with its foyer and, at the same time, can be used for Faculty Board meetings.
The Faculty Office has moved back to the Haking Wong Building at Room HW501
