Professor David Srolovitz, Dean of Faculty of Engineering, The University of Hong Kong (HKU) and, Professor Lingyan Feng, Professor of Materials Genome Institute, Shanghai University (SHU) represented their institutions in signing a Memorandum of Agreement on October 19, 2023 to set up a Joint Laboratory for Intelligent Materials Design and establish a long-term and sustainable research collaboration between the two institutions.
The Joint Laboratory will develop and implement a strategic agenda on Intelligence Materials Design in related disciplines span across engineering, science and computer science; stimulate and facilitate research collaborations and staff exchange between the two Universities as well as undertake joint research training and co-supervision of exchange PhD student for research collaborations in Intelligent Materials Design.
