HKU President’s Forum – Distinguished Lecture by Professor John Hennessy was held successfully on April 3, 2023 by Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, The University of Hong Kong (HKU).
The lecture was delivered by Professor John Hennessy, a renowned expert in computer architecture, Professor of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science and had served as President of Stanford University. The topic of his lecture was “Energy and Silicon Efficient Computing: A 45 Year Journey”.
HKU also conferred an Honorary Degree to Professor Hennessy at the 209th Congregation, which was held on the same day of the distinguished lecture.

Professor John Hennessy was conferred Doctor of Science honoris causa at the 209th Congregation
