The Faculty had arranged a series of on-campus activities for potential JUPAS and non-JUPAS applicants. Here is the recap for the activities:
JUPAS Information Week 2022
The HKU JUPAS Information Week 2022 was held between May 23 to 27, 2022, by the University. Faculty of Engineering conducted an information session on May 25, 2022 for the JUPAS applicants. On the day, the Faculty arranged both virtual admissions talks by Dr Calvin Or, Chairman of the Engineering Admissions Committee and Professor Reynold Cheng, Associate Dean (Student Enrichment) on the updates of HKU Engineering programmes and introduced BEng in Data Science and Engineering programme; followed by physical visits to Tam Wing Fan Innovation Wing and Engineering labs tours. Professors, researchers and current students also shared their experiences to let students have a better understanding about HKU Engineering.
Snap Induction@HKU Engineering
The Snap Induction@HKU Engineering was held on May 27, 2022 by the University and Faculty of Engineering for non-JUPAS applicants. The Faculty arranged both virtual admissions talks by Dr Wilton Fok, Principal Lecturer of Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering and physical visits to Tam Wing Fan Innovation Wing One and Two to let students know more about engineering-related programmes and gain creative insights from students ambassadors.
Virtual UG Admissions Talk
A virtual UG admissions talk, “This is what happens when you study in Biomedical Engineering”, by Professor Kevin Tsia, Programme Director of BEng in Biomedical Engineering was held on April 19, 2022 for potential students. Students grasped the chance to ask the questions for admissions and the details of the programmes.
