In order to provide more information to the JUPAS Applicants and make them to be familiar with HKU Engineering, the Faculty had organised a session of Virtual Admissions Talk on May 28, 2020. With Professor Christopher Chao, Dean of Engineering, kick-started the talk, followed by Dr Hayden So of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering to share how engineers have been addressing some of the world’s most pressing challenges, and examine how engineers have been solving problems through an ingenious combination of science, innovation, and perseverance.
The inspiring sharing was followed by Faculty overview and programmes introduction by Professor Edmund Lam, Associate Dean of Engineering (Teaching and Learning – UG), and introduction of Tam Wing Fan Innovation Wing by Professor Thomas Ng, Associate Dean of Engineering (Student Development). Members of the Engineering Admissions Committee were invited to join the Q&A sessions and answered questions from the students.
