A ME team received Gold Medal and two awards in International Invention Innovation Competition of iCAN 2018

A ME team, comprised of Professor Dennis Leung, Dr Wang Yi Fei, Ms Kwok Y.H. and Mr Pan Wending, received a Gold Medal Award, iCAN 2018 Special Inventor Award and IFIA Best Invention Award at the International Invention Innovation Competition of iCAN 2018 with their project titled “A flexible paper-based AI-air battery”.

The International Invention Innovation Competition of iCAN 2018 was organized by the Toronto International Society of Innovation & Advanced Skills (TISIAS). It is a representative official event of Canada supported by the Innovation Initiative Co-operative Inc. (ICO), International Federation of Inventors' Associations (IFIA), and World Invention Intellectual Property Associations (WIIPA). A total of 44 countries such as USA, Canada, Mainland, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Korea participated in iCAN 2018 which marked the event’s highest record of participating counties in the last three editions. The Final was took place on September 1, 2018 in Canada where the finalists showcased their inventions to the jury, international delegations, co-exhibitors and other visitors from all over the world.
