Project MindoroBots was awarded National Runner-Up in the James Dyson Award 2018
MindoroBots is an initiative by Computer Engineering students Sidhant Gupta and Rohak Singhal to build open-source robots which aim to reliably and effectively replace humans in coral reef surveying. It was awarded National Runner-Up in the James Dyson Award 2018.

EEE postgraduate wins the Champion of the IEEE (HK) CI Postgraduate Paper Competition 2017-2018
Mr Chu Kai Fung , an EEE postgraduate student supervised by Professor Victor OK Li and Dr. Albert YS Lam, won the Champion of the 12th Postgraduate Paper Contest organized by the IEEE (Hong Kong) Computational Intelligence (CI) Chapter for his excellent work on “Travel Demand Prediction Using Deep Multi-Scale Convolutional LSTM Network”.

BME student was awarded the Hong Kong Scholarship for Excellence Scheme 2018/19
Congratulations to Mr Michael Lam (BME)! He has been selected as one of the awardees of the Hong Kong Scholarship for Excellence Scheme 2018/19 which supports his overseas postgraduate study.
The Scheme, launched by the HKSAR Education Bureau, aims to support local students to pursue studies in world-renowned universities outside Hong Kong.
