Jointly organised by the University of Hong Kong (HKU) and the US National Academy of Engineering (NAE), Grand Challenges for Engineering Symposium connects Hong Kong and US academic leaders and luminaries. HKU and NAE endeavour to enhance the development of aspiring talents in the leading edge of engineering and science and to advance the well-being of society locally and globally.
The Symposium brings together HKU President Professor Xiang Zhang and NAE President C. D. (Dan) Mote, Jr. along with Nobel Laureate Dr. Robert Grubbs and multiple NAE, CAS and NAS members. This public event is meant to excite, inform, and challenge. The event showcases one of the best traits of Hong Kong – as an energetic confluence that attracts, inspires, and nurture world-class talents to achieve our greatest aspiration.
