On January 21, 2016, delegates of Guangdong Power Grid Company (GD Power) visited Department of Electrical & Electronic Engineering and the Robotics Group at HKU. The visitors were from the Science and Technology Department of Guangdong Power and Guangdong Power Research Institute. The visit is a follow up of the Strategic Research Collaboration Framework Agreement signed between Guangdong Power and HKU.
The delegates visited EEE Power Laboratories and Robotics Laboratory, and had a meeting with our faculty members. In the meeting, we introduced HKU ongoing research work on smart power grid operations and robotics technologies. Guangdong Power showed their interests in our latest research achievements, and they introduced their demand on the latest technologies and the applications in energy industry. Both Guangdong Power and HKU members in the meeting look forward to the future collaborations, and apply the research results obtained at HKU to the real system of Guangdong Power Grid.
