In July, Professor S.C. Wong, Chair Professor and Head of Department of Civil Engineering, was awarded the Bronze Bauhinia Star (BBS) for his meritorious public and community service, particularly his dedication and significant contributions to the work of the Town Planning Board, by the Hong Kong SAR Government. He was appointed a Justice of the Peace in 2010. There were 298 awardees in this year’s Honours List, in which 51 was awarded BBS.
