“Best Paper Award” at the International Modular and Offsite Construction Summit

Dr Niu Sanyuan, Miss Yang Yi and their supervisor Dr Wei Pan of Department of Civil Engineering received the Best Paper Award at the Modular and Offsite Construction (MOC) Summit 2019 held in Canada for their paper entitled “Logistics Planning and Visualization of Modular Integrated Construction Projects Based on BIM-GIS Integration and Vehicle Routing Algorithm”.

The MOC Summit is a globally distinguished conference, creating an active platform for knowledge exchange and networking among researchers and industry leaders in modular construction.

Modular Integrated Construction (MiC) is a disruptive innovation promoted in the Policy Agenda of the HKSAR Government. It integrates advanced manufacturing technologies into reengineered design and construction processes for enhanced quality, productivity, safety and sustainability. Dr Pan and his team are leading MiC research in the world.

 

The award-winning paper was on logistics planning and visualization of modular integrated construction projects based on BIM-GIS Integration and Vehicle Routing Algorithm.
