Engineering students awarded in HKU 24th Recognition Ceremony

The Centre of Development and Resources for Students (CEDARS) of HKU hosted the 24th Recognition Ceremony on April 10, 2021 to recognise the exceptional achievements of nearly 200 students. The complimented students either have achieved excellent results in external competitions, or have demonstrated outstanding talents beyond their academic field, or have made selfless contributions to the University or the community through their services.

Among the awardees, 10 students received the “Above & Beyond Award” and 3 of them are from Faculty of Engineering. They were awarded for their extraordinary efforts in overcoming adversities and constraints to pursue their goals and dreams in a remarkably challenging year.

Best Conference Poster Award at the IEEE International Conference on Nano/Micro Engineered Molecular Systems (NEMS)

The student group of Dr Li Wendi of Department of Mechanical Engineering, including, Dr Min Siyi, Dr Li Shijie, Dr Zhu Zhouyang, Dr Cai Jingxuan, and Liang Chuwei, were awarded the “Best Conference Poster Award” at the 16th IEEE International Conference on Nano/Micro Engineered Molecular Systems (NEMS) which was held in Xiamen in April 2021. Some of the awarded students were from HKU-SUSTech Joint PhD programme.
