A Mechanical student project team awarded the Best Student Design Award organised by Institution of Mechanical Engineers Hong Kong Branch.
Project title: A Solar Power System for Producing Useful Fuels and Chemicals from Waste Materials

2nd Place of 2021 ASHRAE Student Design Competition (HVAC Design Calculations)
Student project team from Department of Mechanical Engineering won the Second Place of 2021 ASHRAE Student Design Competition (HVAC Design Calculations) organised by ASHRAE.

2021 Global Top 100 Chinese Rising Stars in Artificial Intelligence
Dr Huang Zhipeng, a PhD graduate of the database group at the Department of Computer Science was selected by Baidu Scholar as one of the 2021 Global Top 100 Chinese Rising Stars in Artificial Intelligence based on his research papers published during his study under the supervision of Professor Nikos Mamoulis, Professor Reynold C.K. Cheng and Professor Benjamin C.M. Kao.
