A delegation visit by Japan DENSO Corporation

DENSO Corporation, a Fortune 500 company, is a global automotive components manufacturer headquartered in Japan and ranks the second largest supplier in the world. Owning 220 sites in 35 countries and regions, DENSO Corporation is dedicated to develop and supply products with its research and production network, aiming to accelerate the core aspects such as Electric vehicles (EV), advanced safety/autonomous vehicles, connectivity and factory automation/agriculture (FA). A delegation led by Mr Naoki Ito, General Manager of AI R&I Division and Mr Takeshi Narisako, Director of MaaS R&D Division visited the Faculty on July 11, 2019.

Professor Christopher Chao, Dean of Engineering, welcomed and introduced the Faculty to the delegates. With an aim in exploring collaboration opportunities, HKU Engineering academics from different departments, including Dr John Yuen of Department of Computer Science, Dr Wong Ngai, Dr Kaibin Huang, Dr G. Pang and Dr Y.C. Wu of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Dr Ray Zhong of the Department of Industrial and Manufacturing Systems Engineering and Dr Zhang Fu of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, joined the meeting as well.
