Interdisciplinary Engagement

We provide a well-rounded curriculum and high quality engineering education for the global knowledge-based economy, and engage in innovative, high impact basic and applied research within and across disciplines. The Faculty has devoted a vast amount of resources to teaching and research and presently offers research postgraduate (MPhil and PhD) programmes in different engineering and technology areas

Internationalization and Diversity

The Faculty has a century legacy of achievement in advancing scientific discovery, transferring the city’s technological development and educating regional and international leaders. We have attracted over 1,000 applications for admission each year recently. At present, more than 800 research students from over 10 countries, including Canada, China, India, Italy, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, UK and US, are in different stages of studies in the Faculty allowing students to embrace cultural diversity through mixing with their fellow classmates from all over the world.
