H.K.U. Engineering Alumni Association (H.K.U.E.A.A.) and the Faculty of Engineering are going to hold a 1-Day Technical Workshop in CLP Power HK Ltd Shatin Centre. The details are as follows:

Program Highlights
As one of the power industry leaders in the Southeast Asia region, CLP Power Hong Kong Ltd (CLPP) operates at a vertically-integrated electricity supply business, providing a highly-reliable supply of electricity to 80% of Hong Kong’s population. Its diversified portfolio of generating assets uses a wide range of fuels including coal, gas, nuclear and renewable sources.
The event provides opportunities for participants to gain hands-on experiences in the operation and maintenance of power supply system, such as cable cutting practice, switchgear operating experience, visit to the training facilities etc. Experience sharing session with CLPP Engineer representatives would be held as well for attendees to understand the challenges or difficulties faced in achieving high power supply reliability rate.
Complimentary lunch and transport are arranged.
Application method
The number of participants is limited to 20. Priorities would be given to Year 2 and Year 3 Students major in Electronic Engineering and Electrical Engineering. Attendance Certificate will be available. Applicants who are not yet HKUEAA members should join the membership (http://www.alumni.hku.hk/hkueaa/registration.php) prior to the technical visit registration so as to secure the places.
