Admission Requirements
JUPAS Admission
Applicants with HKDSE qualification shall satisfy the following requirements:

Non-JUPAS Admission
Applicants with other local/international/national qualifications will be considered on an individual merit basis. The following list is some of the more common qualifications, and the Faculty will consider candidates with other qualifications on a case-by-case basis.

Quota:
BEng programmes: Commencing from 2012-13, a quota of 120 will be imposed for BEng programmes offered by each department of the Faculty of Engineering. Students can choose their desired study programme after their first year of study, on the basis of academic performance.
Double-degree in BEng/BBA or Minor Programmes
Under the 2012 Curriculum, the enabling structure allows high-caliber students to pursue Double-degree in BEng/BBA or minor options in a variety of disciplines, subject to the fulfillment of curriculum requirements of respective engineering programmes.

One Code for All
JS6963 Bachelor of Engineering (for students admitted in 2012 and thereafter)
With effect from 2008/09, the HKU Faculty of Engineering has introduced the common code admission scheme including BEng(MedE), through which applicants can use one single code, JS6963, to apply for 10 BEng programmes.
