The Bachelor of Engineering in Engineering Science [BEng(EngSc)] degree aims at providing students a comprehensive engineering programme and equip them with multi-disciplinary knowledge and skills in engineering and other non-technical field. Under the flexible curriculum structure, students will receive solid technical training in an engineering field and develop a broad range of skills in other disciplines. The programme is a timely initiative in response to the ever-changing needs of the world.

This major is jointly offered by the Faculties of Engineering and Medicine. Students will acquire the cutting edge knowledge and skills in biomedical engineering, medical imaging, life science, medical devices and cell/tissue engineering, and be well-prepared for careers in the emerging field of life science and biomedical engineering, as well as research postgraduate study in biomedical engineering.

This major is jointly offered by the Department of Computer Science of the Faculty of Engineering and the Department of Statistics and Actuarial Science of the Faculty of Science. Students will acquire fundamental knowledge in computer programming and database management as well as statistical analysis, and select advanced courses in the field of statistics and actuarial science, to equip themselves to be experts in the fields of computer science and actuarial science.

With the increasing importance of environmental protection and conservation, engineers with high consciousness in environment are in high demand to provide solutions for engineering projects that will have positive impact on the world environment.
