Faculty of Engineering
Established in 1911, the Faculty of Engineering of HKU is one of the founding faculties of the University. It offers a wide range of study programmes and undertakes research in different areas. The Faculty is renowned in nurturing the best undergraduate and postgraduate students through its comprehensive engineering programmes, and has groomed numerous professional engineers for the local and overseas community. Throughout the years, the Faculty has boasted a network of over 20,000 graduates as our alumni, the majority of whom are key personnel in the engineering profession and the government.
The Faculty currently offers 12 undergraduate and 12 postgraduate degree programmes in different disciplines of engineering, which attracts the brightest students from Hong Kong and worldwide, such as the Mainland, Taiwan, India, Pakistan, Malaysia, Korea, Europe, North America and South America. BEng Programme Structure
The Bachelor of Engineering programme is a broad-based, comprehensive and flexible engineering programme. Students will be equipped with the professional knowledge, skills and training under the vigorous programme and they have the flexibility to widen their horizons to pursue double degree programmes (BEng/BBA) or minor options in other disciplines.
